Dementia Well-being Event - 17th May 2024

Collaborating with organisations across the area, Home Instead will host an event, giving advice and support to family carers and anyone wanting to help people with Dementia.

On 17th May 2024 at The Church at Perton, Anders Square, Wolverhampton WV6 7QH, attendees have the opportunity to hear from representatives of many support organisations who offer crucial advice and share their knowledge of issues affecting loved ones suffering with Dementia and their surrounding families.

The team at Home Instead Telford South Bridgnorth, Much Wenlock & Perton, whose Care Professionals receive specialist, City and Guilds assured Dementia training, will provide expert insight into caring for someone living with Dementia, as well as how to age well, living safe and independently.

Community Engagement Manager, Siobhan Davis, says, “It is a privilege to be able to partner with several prestigious organisations to deliver advice giving practical and emotional support. Our aim is that those who visit the event will gain a better understanding of how they can help care for their older loved ones, as well as support the older members in our communities in general”.

This FREE event will be held from 10am-3pm, 17th May 2024, to chat to anyone interested in finding out more about living well with Dementia, coupled with learning how to support your loved one to continue living safely, as well as understanding how to access their services, whether for the here and now or for those wanting to start their planning for the future.

The event is free and open to the public from any area, family, friends, local businesses and services who perhaps want to find out more.

If you are unable to attend, just call the Home Instead Telford South Office in Weston Park, Shifnal on 01952 913219, to find out more or to enquire about our services.
